The reason some companies previously chose not to list under 18C or 18A is that once they submit an application for listing, they must disclose a lot of information. Disclosure is a principle of listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, serving as an explanation to investors. However, in the technology sector, companies have many confidential and innovative contents that may lose their value once disclosed.
