On the evening of December 5, 2024, a grand cocktail reception was held at Pier 1929 in Wan Chai, Hong Kong, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of CHFT with the theme "Transforming Assets and Beyond." CHFT’s Asia partners, along with the Guest of Honor, Mr. Nicolas Konialidis, Asia Director and Technical Director of the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC), joined over 250 guests. Together, they enjoyed a festive evening against the stunning night scnery of Victoria Harbour, commemorating the milestone anniversary of CHFT.

 

 

Mr. Leo Lo, the Managing Director of CHFT, delivered a heartfelt speech during the ceremony. He reminisced about the journey of CHFT over the past decade, highlighting our milestones: from its establishment, assembling a dedicated team, to achieving steady growth with the support of market opportunities and various stakeholders. In recent years, CHFT has actively expanded its presence in the Asia region, building extensive networks and business connections, which have injected boundless momentum into its future development. In his address, Leo Lo expressed deep gratitude to his colleagues, partners, and clients who have accompanied and supported CHFT throughout this journey.

 

Mr. Nicolas Konialidis, IVSC Asia Director and Technical Director (Business Valuation Committee) was invited to the anniversary event as our special guest. Mr. Konialidis led the development of valuation standards and actively promoted their accurate use in Asia. Mr. Konialidis delivered a perspective paper speech: Intangible Assets Intersection of IVSC Perspective Paper-Valuation, highlighting IVSC's comprehensive review of accounting requirements for intangible assets; the difference between value of a technology and its external creativity; the promotion of data changes to innovation and generation of more data; ESG factors and ESG regulatory circumstance considerations in valuation. CHFT always keeps up with the most cutting-edge valuation technology and perspectives, providing solutions to customers with professional knowledge and high-quality services.

It was our honor having Mr. Nicolas Konialidis, IVSC's Asia Director and Technical Director (Business Valuation Board), as the guest of honor. Mr. Konialidis has been instrumental in leading the development of valuation standards and has actively promoted their accurate application across Asia. During the event, he delivered a keynote presentation titled "IVSC Perspectives Paper – Making Intangibles More Tangible" His highlights included IVSC's comprehensive review of accounting requirements for intangible assets, the distinction between the value of a technology and its external innovation, how data transformation fosters innovation and generates more data, and the consideration of ESG factors along with the ESG regulatory environment in valuation. CHFT continues to stay at the forefront of valuation technologies and perspectives, offering professional knowledge and exceptional services to provide professional solutions for its clients.

During the cocktail reception, on behalf of CHFT, Mr. Leo Lo introduced the company's Asia partners in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Japan. This showcased CHFT significant strategic focus on regional development and its commitment to strengthening its presence across Asia.

 

Mr. Ivan Tam, the Director of CHFT, also announced that CHFT has launched  the launch of a new electronic database service called "Firsthand Insights" for residential property sales. He provided a detailed explanation and demonstration of the platform, which aims to enable subscribers to access first-hand residential property sales data more quickly and conveniently.

 

With a commemorative toast marking its 10th anniversary, and in the presence of esteemed guests, CHFT, embracing the theme "Transforming Assets and Beyond," embarks on a bold new chapter in its journey.
